MelissaTORRAS Coolify 2 is the second generation of the true cooling neck fan and portable air conditioner. It was launched on April 28, 2022, one year after the first generation of the neck fan TORRAS Coolify, made its successful debut.
The real neck air conditioner – TORRAS Coolify 2 is an advanced version of its predecessor. It offers much more cooling and heat. It comes in 3 versions with different battery sizes and materials.
In this review, I will compare these 3 versions and also make a comparison to the previous model. I will point the pros and cons and expose my personal opinion of the device based on my experience with it.
How Does TORRAS Coolify 2 Work?
TORRAS Coolify 2 is a wearable air conditioner designed to be worn around the neck and used hands-free. This means that you can use it while you work, cook, walk, entertain, relax, read a book or do anything else because your hands and attention remain free.
But what makes TORRAS Coolify 2 different than other neck fans?
The difference is that it cools you down within one second due to NTC technology. On the inside of the neckband, there are two metal plates. They immediately become really cool and pass the cold to the skin of the neck.
There are 4 sensors with negative temperature coefficients built in, which help the device to achieve a working speed of up to 100,000 times per second. The temperature of the cooling plates is slightly changed, so even if the temperature is over 110°F, you will feel a constant cooling.
So, let me resume: – TORRAS Coolify 2 looks like a bladeless neck fan and adopts the typical headphone design. But besides the neck fans it really cools you reducing the body temperature through NTC technology.
TORRAS Coolify 2 – what is upgraded?
May be some of you have already used the first generation of the neck cooler, so I will start with pointing out what was upgraded in the second generation compared to the previous one.
One of the most important innovations is that the cooling plates are already two and larger – this means that they cover a larger area on the neck and cool faster in just one second. The previous model has only one metal plate, is smaller and cools in 3 seconds.
On the left picture, you can see the new version with two metal plates – on both sides – left and right. While on the right picture, you can see the previous model with only one metal plate—in the middle of the U-shaped neckband. It is smaller, cools a smaller area of the skin, and is slower.
You can also see that the design is upgraded. The materials used are better, and there is no golden coating as it used to wear off in time.
The battery life is significantly improved more than twice – from 8 hours – to 18 or 20 on fan mode and from 2 hour to 2,5 or 3 on cooling mode.

Yes, it is impressive that this new portable AC can not only cool you down but also heat you in cold days. It is very useful if you like to jog in cold mornings or in mountains.

Design and Color Options of TORRAS Coolfy 2
The design of the TORRAS Coolify 2 is completely different compared to the previous model. The two ends are not rounded but cut off and one look at the device is enough to recognize the exact model.
As you can see from the pictures above – there is no gold coating over the air intakes and on metal plate like the predecessor. There were complaints that this wears off over time or even when you peel off the protective sticker so there is no surprise that the manufacturers gave up on it.
In my opinion, the previous model is nicer, but it looks like a normal neck fan. I guess that the manufacturer wanted to make the new device – TORRAS Coolify 2 – stand out from all the other neck fans and it seems that they managed to do it.
Another significant change concerns the number and size of metal cooling plates. The previous model has only one smaller metal plate at the middle of the neckband’s inner side. The actual coldness comes from the metal plate, so its size matters.
The new model is equipped with two metal plates – each with a larger area, so the cooling effect is much faster and more noticeable in just one second.

As we wear the neck cooler, it always depends on the design, on the color choice because the device must match our daily style, and also on the materials because we have physical contact with the device on our skin.

What is so special in TORRAS Coolify 2 – Limitted Edition (5000 mAh)?
The design and functions of the limited-edition model are the same, but the metal plates change their color depending on the temperature and the materials are improved with a premium IML craft and Kevlar fabric touch. They incredibly level up the exclusive look while keeping it super scratch resistant.
On the picture above (left) you can see the exclusive gradient orange and black switch-up for a playful look inspired by seasonal colors. It is more than just unchanging black and presents temperature changes in a gradient that keeps up with your style.
On the second picture (right) you can see the improved IML process with Kevlar fabric that makes COOLIFY 2 a premium product. It is scratch resistant with 2H hardness anad because of always keep as it is. The carbon fiber used doubles the cooling result while increasing the hardness of the device.
What’s in the box of TORRAS Coolify 2?
The device comes in a cardboard box, but inside there is another plastic box with a zip closing. The wearable AC is in there with some instructions and a cable. There is a buckle that you can use to attach the box to your backpack when hiking:

TORRAS Coolify 2 has 3 modes of operation:
- Fan mode – only the two turbines run (no cooling and no heating), in this mode the portable AC operates as s normal neck fan.
- Cooling mode – the two metal plates provide immediate cooling transferring coldness to the skin.
- Heating mode – the two metal plate provide immediate heating.

As you can see from the comparison table, the models with different battery sizes reach the same temperature levels, but they have a different acculturation and of course a different charging time – 3 hours for the smaller 4000 mAh battery and 3.5 hours for the larger 5000 mAh battery.
Verdict
If you need a reliable wearable cooling and heating solution – TORRAS Coolify 2 will satisfy your needs. It’s battery life and cooling potential is incredibly increased compared to the previous model (TORRAS Coolify 2021).
I recommend the extended battery version, but if you have a limited budget, the 4000 mAh model is a good choice. The limited version, being more scratch-resistant, is suitable for people with a more extreme lifestyle.
